I wanted to share with you the experience I had with this song. I teach in a Catholic School, so the first thing we decided after the terrorist attack was to have an all-school mass in the morning. I frantically worked to select the right music and create the right atmosphere for this liturgy. I came across "We Might Heal" (from Music K-8, Vol. 10, No. 4) and decided that this would make a good meditation song. I taught the harmony to my middle school choir literally in 10 minutes, and we sang it that morning. I was so proud of them - they sang like troopers. I sang the solo part at the request of my principal. I was going to have a student do it, but she thought that with the emotional nature of the week (we had several parents in New York on business who narrowly escaped being in the World Trade Center at the time), it might be too much for the kids. My only regret is that I wasn't set up to tape the performance so that Paul and Teresa could hear it. Thanks once again to the Plankers for giving us what we need for ourselves and for our kids.
