Quarter Note

We hear you! You like it when we create songs that teach musical concepts, so that's what we're going to keep doing. This time, our focus is on the oh-so-important quarter note. As you might expect, this light rock/pop tune is absolutely full of quarter notes. In fact, everything the kids sing is a quarter note. They even get to count to four to reinforce the concept, using their fingers if you like.

Since the tune has a pop flavor, we have added some scoops and falls to the melody. Our singers on the recording give a good demo of how to do them, but they are optional, of course. However, we do suggest that you tell your kids to really sing out. Chest voices are perfectly okay for this one.
