¡Hasta La Vista!
by Teresa Jennings
Another school year has come to an end, so we decided to leave you with this short, happy Spanish song that basically means, "See you later!" Of course, you can use it for any situation that calls for a casual goodbye, like the end of the day or bidding farewell to a visitor. Because we thought you might find the up-tempo pace a bit much for younger students, we also recorded it a little slower. Both versions are on the recording so you can pick which works better for you.
While we use the spoken tag "Later!" you could substitute "¡Luego!" which is Spanish for "later." Sing it as two syllables if you use it, not three.
¡Cinco de Mayo!
It occurred to us that this piece would also make a great short tune using just the words, "Cinco de Mayo." Feel free to do this, and use it to celebrate May 5!
