Action (Active Verb Song)

There we go crossing the curriculum again! With this super energetic (dare we say hyper?) song, your students get to learn and demonstrate a number of active verbs. The melody and lyrics are very, very easy and repetitious so that all of the emphasis can be on the action at the end of each phrase. We have selected specific ones, but you are free to replace them with your own. Better yet, let students choose new ones. With your supervision, of course. Remember that they should be able to "perform" the actions without difficulty – or injury. In the case of our rapid-fire players on the instrumental background, the action word of choice was probably "Go!!"
