Thank You To Our Veterans

Though it is very short and simple, this song has a lot to say. Written specifically for your youngest singers, the message of gratitude for our veterans is clear and heartfelt. After all, it's never too early to instill the importance of appreciation and respect for those who put their lives on the line for our country.

The accompaniment for this little tune is also quite simple. It could be played live on piano by any capable pianist, if you so choose. Or you could use the recording which features our wonderful brass ensemble instead.

However you perform it, make it an event for your Veterans Day celebration or any patriotic venue where it might be appropriate. Ask the veterans to stand or have them positioned in such a way that your young students can face them directly when singing. Use small American flags for props or decorations and/or have some of the kids present the veterans with a flower or flowers after the song is finished. Have tissues on hand as well for teary eyes, just in case.
