Come The Spring
by Teresa Jennings
This tune is what we like to call a "feel good" song. It's very light and easy-going and makes you want to listen to it, smile, and sing along. The most difficult thing will be the division into three parts at the chorus. But, particularly if you can use the cassette for rote teaching, the parts really will stick with your singers once they've gotten into them. The song will work with just one or two parts if it has to, though it won't have quite the same impact. And again, the second part is written for lower voices.
When using the cassette, be sure to point out the very tasteful guitar solo at the beginning, between verses, and at the end. If you listen carefully, you can hear him playing an improvisational solo over the last chorus at measure 50.
