Don’t Be Icky
by Teresa Jennings
As we usually do in an all-school revue, we provide at least one song that can be sung by your youngest students. For this revue (Good Thinking), that song is "Don't Be Icky." Mind you, for very young singers, using it with just part 1 is probably best. Or you could let some older kids join in with the optional second part and make it a multi-class tune. Or just use it with all older kids. It's humorous and campy enough to appeal to most. In a time when common decency seems to be too easily forgotten, we think the message in this song is certainly important for all age groups. More fodder for discussion? We hope so.
You will find rehearsal tracks for parts 1 and 2 on our web site.
