Anybody Wanna Make A Jack-O'-Lantern?

It's that time of year when minds young and not-so-young turn to the creative endeavors necessary to make a piece of art out of an ordinary pumpkin. As the lyrics of this song tell us, anything we make is okay. Such is the beauty of artistic expression.

The laid-back Latin style of this piece is divinely fun, despite its tricky-looking rhythms. Indeed, we might say those rhythms contribute to the fun. They are just challenging enough that conquering them becomes a cool feat. (Listening to the recording a few times will help with that conquering.) Other musical learning can be found in the dynamics, accents, form, enunciation, listening, and part-singing. The second part is optional, but again, mastering those rhythms and then singing them together would be awfully rewarding.
