Holiday Family Photo

Say cheese! Holidays are often filled with gatherings of family (and friends). Each year, new memories are made, and family photos are a way to capture them. This country rock song is catchy and hooky and downright fun to sing. And it's simple enough to be accessible for most grade levels. (Music lesson: See if your students can pick out all the steel guitar licks on the recording.)

Note: Be sensitive in case some students don't have a close-knit family. Holidays are not always happy for everyone. In these cases, you can talk about how whoever you are with at that moment is your "family," even if they're not related. It is our hope that all students have loving families, but if they don't, hanging out with friends and other loved ones can still be fulfilling.
