If It Would Snow
by Tom & Lynn Crowell
Do you live in a southern state that doesn't get snow? No problem! Do you live in an area that gets snow? No problem! This song works for anyone, because it gives your students a chance to list the things they could do if it would snow.
Your young singers will be energized with the syncopation. You may want to have them clap or tap out the rhythms to get them focused on it. After that, play the full performance track to model how it should sound. They should get a feel for how it propels the song forward. The chorus also needs energy, so get your students singing with their diaphragms there as well.
Near the end, the optional part 2 is easy to teach and equally fun to sing. Then, at the very end, everyone shouts, "Snow!" Make sure their delivery is boisterous!
