Clocks Forward

by Teresa Jennings

Whether you're a fan of it or not, moving our clocks forward an hour in the spring is a current reality for most of us. So why not have a short, memorable ditty to remind us? This highly energetic rock tune is so short, you might have to sing it twice just to be sure everyone got it! It's punctuated with some shouts and claps that will get kids and audiences in the mood to "spring forward." In fact, if you do use it in performance, consider that encore as the perfect moment to invite audiences to join in. Once they've heard it, it's easy!

Note that it says "daylight saving time," not "daylight savings time" (with an "s"), because it's technically correct without it. However, it's so common to add the "s" these days, even some dictionaries are starting to acquiesce. Use whatever works best for you.
