Remember You

We have often been asked to create songs that can be used for lesser-known holidays. One of those holidays happens in November - Veteran's Day. We could have written a song that addressed Veteran's Day in particular, but then we thought it would be more usable if we wrote a song with multiple applications, one with meaning and poignancy. What we came up with was a song about remembrance which fits perfectly with Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and a host of other days with sentiments of farewells and times past.

The melody is very easy to learn, which means you could perform it with your youngest singers. And as with many of our ballads, it is slow enough for sign language to be performed as well. The signs are included in this issue on page 47.

Oh, and one more thing. As mentioned earlier, we took the opportunity to feature the viola one more time in one more song.
