Rainbows Rock!

Not only will your youngest students enjoy singing along with this song about rainbows, they'll also enjoy the "big colorful dancing" they'll get to do to the music on the CD! Another perfect opportunity for across the curriculum learning, this song will help your students memorize the colors of the rainbow in order from red to violet. It's very simple and very repetitious, but it also includes a few simple written movements right on the music that you can include or not. Let students interpret the movements however they like - "freely" is the word! As an extension for the song, let students draw and/or color their own rainbows while singing the song. Or have a slide show or PowerPoint® presentation of rainbows.
