We're Back!

Okay, going back to school in the fall might not be every child's favorite thing to do, but at least with this upbeat, catchy song they can sound like they're happy about it. And who knows, maybe "We're Back!" will be a perfect way to get students motivated for the beginning of a new school year. In any case, it will definitely make a great song to kick off a new season of music class. The melody is very repetitive and easy to learn and the accompaniment keeps it moving along. There's even a chance for your singers to clap on beats two and four beginning at measure 15. And at the very end of the piece there is an opportunity to discuss dynamics, as the last three phrases go from mezzo forte to mezzo piano and then to forte.
