I use freebie tote bags for storage of smaller unpitched instruments. I made 8.5" x 11" picture/word cards for each (i.e., triangles, bells, etc.) and slid the cards inside the clear pocket on one side. I hung the bags on the coat hooks in my cozy portable. They work great! I use a couple of five-gallon plastic paint buckets for guiros, etc. (The buckets are also labeled as I have the lids and can stack them.) This arrangement saves me lots of space, we can easily find what we need, and even the youngest kids can successfully put the instruments away.
