For our Veterans' Day Program, our sixth through eighth graders held red, white, or blue pieces of construction paper to make a giant flag. In their art class, the students with the blue paper drew sparkling stars on it. The rest of the students put sparkles on their paper to make it stand out under the lights. During "American Tears," from Music K-8, Vol. 13, No. 1, they will be gently waving their pieces of paper, to simulate an American flag.
