Every year in March, our school celebrates "Reading Week." This year, our theme is "Reading for America." We always sing a song to inspire the students to read more books. Here are some lyrics I wrote for this year's song.
READING FOR AMERICA
(Sung to the tune of "Yankee Doodle")
Verse:
Reading keeps us up to date
And gives us information;
It helps us to communicate
And makes a stronger nation.
Refrain:
Reading for America,
Reading for our nation.
Open up those books right now
And start your education!
