Recorder Dude is perfect for students who forget their recorders.
While the rest of the class plays, the other students can count in their heads and finger along on a Recorder Dude. (In order to facilitate this, you could temporarily cover part of each Velcro® dot with masking tape so the fingers don’t stick too much, yet the fingers can easily be added and removed.)
You can also tape a piece of yarn or string to the back Recorder Dude’s head, and then the students can hang Recorder Dude from their necks. It’s a little clunky, but it’s just clunky enough that the students will remember to bring their records to class next time!
