I teach at a very small school with no budget; however, I needed stage lighting so badly! I couldn't see students faces when they performed. It was so sad. So, I decided to get creative.
I gathered up all the old overhead projectors and sat them on the floor in front of the stage. The projector's mirror moves to help with the angle. A couple of my more responsible children sat on the floor to move the projectors from side to side when needed. It worked like a charm. I had six of them going at one time. The only issue is that you must make sure you have lots of extension cords and don't overload your circuits. Another reason to become good friends with your custodians!
