I place rubber spots on the floor for students who forgot their recorder or who need reinforcement understanding the fingerings. I place one spot to the side to represent the thumb hole on back. I then place three spots parallel to the thumb hole spot. They place their left foot on the thumb spot and then move their right foot to the B, A, and G spots as the other students play their song. (Spots can be labeled if necessary.) For more difficult songs, you can add spots as you introduce more notes and fingerings. They love my version of Recorder Dance Revolution! (If only the spots played the notes!)
