In the following directions for "One Zero Zero" (from Music K-8, Vol. 13, No. 3), "-ing" endings are optional because they make the signs harder for some to make. To add the marker "-ing," hold the letter "I" hand palm in, then flip it to palm out.
All signs are for Signed English.One zero zero - make gestures as suggested in score
one hundred - form the number 1, then C with right hand
day(s) - Hold L arm before you PD, tips R. Point R index finger up. Then rest R elbow on back of L hand and arc down to elbow. Adding "s" at end is optional.
school - open B both hands, L palm up, tips out; R palm down, tips L. Clap hands 2X.
learning - LH open B palm up, fingers spread. Place fingertips of right 5 in left palm then move to forehead, changing into flat O. (Adding "-ing" marker is optional for this and next "-ing" words.)
knowing - RH open B palm in, tips up. Pat forehead with tips.
trying - T shape both hands, palms facing. Move forward while arching downward.
growing - Hold left C before body. Pass right flat O up through left C, spreading fingers as hand emerges.
thinking - Place tip of index finger on forehead.
training - One shape LH palm down, tip out. Brush base of right T back and forth on left index.
doing - Claw shape both hands, palms down. Swing back and forth.
gaining - (adding) Hold left flat O, tips down, over right open palm. Close RH into flat O and bring up to left tips.
