While thinking of an appropriate song to teach my fourth graders for Read Across America Day, I was inspired by "Viva Valentine" (from Music K-8, Vol. 11, No. 3), which I used as their grade level Valentine's Day song, and came up with the following:

Read a (read a) read a (read a) read a book today and have some fun. Oh!
Read a (read a) read a (read a) read a book today and have some fun!
Read a (read a) read a book (read a book) read a book, yeah, (read a book, yeah) read it just for fun. Oh!
