Question: I'm looking for ideas for fun carnival-type music games that don't require any kind of music knowledge.
Answer: We did a "make and take" booth for instruments at our Community Kids' Fair. We saved empty bottles, plastic jars, containers, Easter eggs, etc. We got donations of creative products: paper, stickers, crayons, glue sticks, markers, etc. We went to Sam's Club and bought a big bag of dry rice and a big bag of popcorn, then stored them in big plastic tubs. We set up tables all around the tent, which was outside, and let the kids choose what kind of instrument they were going to make. Most were shakers, obviously, but the kids loved it!
