When we did "Words Of Wisdom" (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 3), we put motions to the refrain:
"Comb your hair." - Pretend to comb hair.
"Wipe your nose." - Rub index finger back and forth under nose.
"Don't leave that stuff growing between your toes." - Hold nose with one hand, point to feet with the other, shake head "no."
"Smile at people." - Exaggerated smile, stretching the ends of the mouth with the hands.
"Don't think crabby thoughts." - Shake finger at audience, as in "no, no!" OR frown and fold arms across chest, turn one shoulder a little toward audience."
"Doodle oodle oo!" - Open and shut fingers into the air, kind of like stars sparkling.
We did not do motions on the verses, except that the echo people did a sort of exaggerated lean toward the others as they sang their echo.
