Q: For each grade that you taught last year, what was each class' very favorite song?
A: From Karen Reynolds in Nebraska,
What a fun question!
K - Most years, it's whatever we sang that day! They usually will sing about anything!1 - "Just The Way That It Is" (from Teresa Jennings' The Unity Tree)
2 - "The Green Blues" (from Music K-8, Vol. 4, No. 4)
3 - "Boom Chicka Boom" (from Action Songs Children Love compiled by Denise Gagne)
4 - "BAGzilla" (from Music K-8, Vol. 9, No. 1; also available in Recorder Menagerie)
We focus on recorders for much of the year, and that was one of the first Plank Road Publishing recorder songs we learned last year. I had to keep the CD out the entire year - we probably played it once a week!
5 - "Doctor Eisenbart" (from The Music Connection)6 - "Whacky Song" (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 1; also available in Whacky Fun 1)
7 & 8 Chorus - "American Tears" (from Music K-8, Vol. 13, No. 1; also available as a Singles Reproducible Kit)
HS Chorus - "The Rhythm Of Life" (from Sweet Charity)
