Me again: Even though we're in the last week of classes, I just entered th=
e names for the classes I have this afternoon and played with the Random Wo=
rd Chooser. WAAAAAY cool. In my classes, each child has a number, and I'v=
e always drawn a number to call on children to answer questions, choose ins=
truments, etc. etc. But this way is soooo much more personal and better. =
Plus, at the beginning of school, it will help me learn/remember all my stu=
dents' names.

I thought I would share my plans for my last 4 class meetings for grades
1-4 and 5-8 choir. In SMART Notebook, there's an activity called Random
word chooser. I put all the names of each class in there. When you click=

"select" it beeps and jumps around and randomly lands on a student name.

That student gets a sheet with alllllllll the powerpoints I have for songs =

(well...almost all) and they get to pick any one that they want to sing.

We sing it and then I click the button and another student is randomly
picked. If they are loud or causing problems, no turn. I just click agai=
n.

If you don't have SMART Notebook you can google random name generator or
student name generator and find some free sites where you can do the same =

thing.
