I do have multiple certifications. I'm certified K-12 Vocal Music and K-6
Elementary Education. I use the elementary education portion of my license
as a fall-back in case music would get cut in my district. If that would
happen, I'm high enough on the seniority list, that I would bump someone out
of a classroom and I would become a classroom teacher. Before this music
teaching gig, I did teach 4th grade for a year and a half, but it was many
moons ago (aka 12 years ago), so I'm a little rusty. I would do it to have a
job, but I don't think I would be very happy doing that.
