Denise...I'm not a 2nd teacher but am one for trying to help my colleagues =
and being flexible. However....this 'lady' is way over the top!! A teaching=
friend once told me to learn to proudly use the word "no," with no expla=
nation or reason. If the requester persists, she said to add, "I just c=
an't do that right now," still without explanation or reason. I think som=
etimes folks like your co-teacher need responses in the simplest form possi=
ble. They are kind of like the children who try to wear down their parents=
, succeed, and then try it on us. They just have to learn that no means=
no!

How can she double up on classes and still be in teacher-student ratio? Sou=
nds like a bigger problem to me.

Good luck! And stand tall..."Just say no!" (sorry, couldn't resist that o=
ne)

Shirley in AR (only 5 more class days for me, and 2 1/2 months in AR, t=
hen to Texas!!)
