I, too, am taking the Florida Elementary K-6 certification test on June
12. I have been teaching in Florida for 27 years and my position has been
cut to 50%. In order to make myself more marketable, I am going to take
the test. Yes, I will bump someone so I will have a full-time Music
position for next year, but after that, who knows. It just breaks my
heart that after 22 years at the same school, I will have to leave.
