In addition to what Jennifer mentioned, I would also bring some nursery r=
hyme or children's poetry books.  I believe there was a discussion a mont=
h or so ago about bringing your own xylo to use while composing your assign=
ments at night.  You could check the archives to read the back and forth.=
(I didn't contribute then so I'll just say that while I did bring one h=
ome for the summer, I did not use it for class...but that was just me). =

Most importantly, check your pencil and paper theory brain at the door. =
Be open to a new way of thinking about music education.  I know nothin=
g about the program you mentioned, but I certainly hope it is as enlighte=
ning as mine was!  (I've done level 1 and 2 at DePaul in Chicago with Lis=
a Sullivan, Sarah Hassler and Cyndee Giebler and will do Level 3 next sum=
mer after my Master's wraps up - I HIGHLY recommend this group of instructo=
rs).

bring a soprano recorder (and alto for level 2), Rhythmische Ubung, and=
Levels Books 1,2, and 4. Our levels books had to be the Margaret Murra=
y editions.
