Our school is in the training process at this moment. Your school will have
a team that meets monthly and also attends bimonthly training sessions put
on by our RPDC. Matter of fact, just had one of those today. You create
school matrixes, teach lessons to the students, make videos of the
expectations, find reward systems for positive behaviors, and the ENTIRE
school is supposed to be on board--janitors, secretaries, cooks in addtion
to the teachers. It is a big process and can be overwhelming but in the
end--ALL in the school will be using the SAME language and having the same
expectations which I am a true believer. I was one that was vocal about
having too many systems to deal with and not remembering who did what. That
is why I am a member of this team. I am hoping it will prove itself as we
begin implementation next year. You have to have a year of planning first
to be considered fully implemented (at least here you do).
