Do your students have iPads?
Could you have them record themselves singing the pieces you are singing in
music that week?
Could you videotape yourself teaching the lesson and then send them a link
each week to watch your lesson? I use SWIVL and you don't have to have the
SWIVL machine to record. You can just use the app on an iPad or phone.
If you have your sub plans typed out for each lesson you could give them
those and have them work from that, again have them record themselves
singing along with the mp3 recordings of your music for the week.
If you are playing instruments give them the cheap ones and have them
practice on their own and come in at a later time to play for you to show
they understand the standard.
Have them research an element of music and make a TED talk for other
classes.
Have them make their own music note reading worksheets.
Have them compose melodies or rhythms and play them for you.
