Out of my 3 schools this school #3 is my favorite. Yesterday, a 3rd
grader told her teacher at lunch that she had a horrible headache.
The teacher took her to the nurse. On the way there the girl stumbled
to the office. By the time they got there the child couldn't see.
The nurse checked her and called 911. There is a hospital 1/2 mile to
1 mile away. They sent the ambulance from a further hospital!!! It
took them 15 minutes to find the school and then they couldn't find
where to come in. Really we don't care how they come into the parking
lot as long as they come! The girl most likely died in the nurses
office. She is brain dead. The mother just has to decide when to
take her off life support. It is so sad. Her teacher was very good
friends with another 3rd grade teacher who was diagnosed with cancer
in October and died in December. This is at least the 3rd time an
ambulance has been sent to the school this year and the 3rd time they
couldn't find it. The school is at least 50 years old!
Please pray for the family, her teacher and the classmates.
We are testing right now. We got special permission from the state
department to test the 3rd graders next week instead of today.
Contracts come out tomorrow. We have to get them from the principal.
We've never done that before. We know people will be cut but we don't
know whom! It is very stressful and scary!
