I have one poster for each Recorder Karate belt on my wall. There are nine pieces of poster board and each has a heading at the top (e.g., White, Yellow, etc.). Students sign their name onto the poster board after they have earned a particular belt. I divided the posters in half; the top half is for 5th grades, and the bottom half is for 4th grades. I have a box of colored markers sitting near the posters and after the students have tied their newest karate belt onto their recorder, they write their name onto the poster. It's fun to watch the posters slowly fill up and students like to go back and find their names at each level.
