What Do You Do With A Water Waster?

From Plank Road Publishing

adapted/arr. Teresa Jennings and Paul Jennings

This boisterous adaptation of the old sea chantey "Drunken Sailor" avoids some of the, um, less politically correct lyrics of the original and gives you an excuse to sing out about environmental causes.

Specifically, we bring up water conservation, garbage control, and global warming. These are all excellent topics for further discussion, and this is another piece of music to tie into subjects across the curriculum. This familiar old song provides a melody kids can learn quickly, a challenge for older students by adding one or both of the optional second and third parts, and a simple, but effective message. (from Music K-8, Vol. 18, No. 4)

(Run time: 1:35)
