Apollo 11

From Plank Road Publishing

by John Riggio

The Apollo 11 Moon landing on July 20, 1969, was a monumental event, as it was the first time humans set foot on a celestial body other than Earth itself. This song celebrates that amazing feat. It is entirely in unison, which helps keep the focus on the subject matter.

Although some of the lyrics are more poetic, the song also contains important facts. Be sure you let classroom teachers (especially the science and history teachers) know you have a great song to reinforce teaching across the curriculum. (from Music K-8, Vol. 19, No. 5)

(Run time: 3:03)
