Farmer In The Dell, The

From Plank Road Publishing

arr. Paul Jennings

Here's a new, unique treatment of an old folk song. This children's favorite probably originated in Germany in the early 1800s, or even earlier. It found its way to America by the 1880s, probably through German immigrants. In our original arrangement, the orchestration ebbs and flows, using a different set of colors from the orchestra for each verse.

In case you'd like to have your primary students play out the song with puppets, the kit includes templates for each of the characters that you can print, color, and mount on tongue depressors (or clean Popsicle® sticks) to create cool stick puppets. (from Music K-8, Vol. 23, No. 3)

(Run time: 1:38)
