Olympic Anthem

From Plank Road Publishing

by Spira Samara/adapted by Christopher Ryder

The original Olympic Anthem, "Inno Olimpico," by Spira Samara, was written in 1896. While it's not the music we associate with the Olympics today, it's a magnificent piece nonetheless. We've adapted the first several measures of the piece into a simpler tune for students to sing. The updated text is designed to truly capture the Olympic spirit for children.
