This Celtic flavored movement song is oh-so-singable by any of your students, no matter how young. Penny whistle, viola, violin, and some neat percussion keep things rollicking along nicely. Though the tune for the instrumentalists is written in 12/8, the vocal line is written in 4/4.

Once your kids have sung along with the recording a couple of times, they will know the tune well enough to add some movement readily. Let them add improvised movement, or have their actions follow the lyrics: jogging, jigging, and moving up and down. (from Music K-8, Vol. 11, No. 4)
