A song of friendship in 4 languages for one, two, or three-part chorus of young voices with piano accompaniment

This multicultural children's song of friendship has been translated into at least 20 languages. On our recording, the first verse is in Spanish, the second in French, and the third in Hebrew, while the chorus is English. We also include sign language, which you can use with or without piano accompaniment. Encourage your students to translate the lyrics into the language of their ethnic background, perhaps with help of family.

It's a perfect song for a final concert or farewell assembly. Invite your audience to join in, at least on the English and the "la, las" of the chorus! Don't be surprised if your students put their arms around each others' shoulders and sway as they sing. (from Music K-8, Vol. 1, No. 5)
