February!

From Plank Road Publishing

by Karl Hitzemann

What is the correct way to pronounce February? Does that first "r" really belong there? Feb-RU-ary? Feb-U-ary? Throw in the fact that it only has 28 days (well, 29 in a leap year), and it certainly is one of our more confusing months.

If you happen to be familiar with a particular Scottish pop band of the '70s, you just might think you recognize this song. It's a very lively and energetic parody of the popular hit "Saturday Night" by the Bay City Rollers. Besides having a lot of fun, everyone will know how to spell February after singing this one a few times! (from Music K-8, Vol. 25, No. 3)

(Run time: 1:54)
