Based on one of Gabriel Fauré's most beautiful and memorable melodies, from his Pavane, Op. 50, we have set our arrangement for 2-part voices. If you have two good soloists to feature, you may wish to start with them, then open into full choir at a point of your choosing. Or keep it all in unison if you prefer. This adaptation is distinctive in that there are no lyrics; rather it uses vocalization syllables appropriate to the style of the variation being sung. (from Music K-8, Vol. 30, No. 5)
