Right With The World
From Plank Road Publishingby Karl Hitzemann
Sometimes it's easy to focus on the negative things that go on, so much so that we tend to forget that there really are many things that are good in the world, too. Focusing on the positive things is something we really need to stress for our youth. Yes, there are many things to be worked on and solved, but sometimes we just need to take stock in and appreciate the things that are just plain good. This song aims to do just that.
This positive, upbeat tune features a great rhythm section and strings. Your performers will probably feel the urge to move around to the beat, which you should totally encourage. This would be a great song to project the lyrics during a performance and ask your audience to sing along. You could also add claps on the offbeats throughout.
Part 2 is optional, but it adds a little fun to the song and challenge for your singers. The kit includes a part 2 rehearsal track. (from Music K-8, Vol. 28, No. 5)
