Peace On Earth

Set in an infectious gospel style, this moving selection proved to be very popular with schools. The verse is meant to be sung by soloists, up to four of them, with the full ensemble joining in for the chorus. This piece is full of musical subtleties that will make it a work of growth for some groups, but it is well worth it. There is one point where everyone is singing full force until they stop, reentering with a subito mezzo piano. It's the sort of musical moment that can send chills through your performers when they do it right. These are the memories that will keep young singers coming back.

While the second part is a bit challenging in places, it is definitely optional - the piece sounds great even in unison.
