Aloha, My Friend

There's nothing like the sound of Hawaiian music. It just puts you in a good mood! In the Hawaiian language, the word "aloha" has many meanings. The lyrics here use "aloha" as a way to say "goodbye," so that the song can be used for the end of a school year. The accompaniment has a very Hawaiian sound, complete with slide and acoustic guitars, bass, and ukulele. Break out the Hawaiian shirts and leis and start singing! (from Music K-8, Vol. 20, No. 5)
