Old Dan Tucker

Guitars, mandolin, and a banjo bring to life Daniel Decatur Emmett's lively "pop" song from the 1840's. Paul Jennings' arrangement is orchestrated so that it sounds like a stage orchestra from before the turn of the century. Use the three folk-like verses provided, or add, replace, or adapt as you wish. Try letting your kids write a few verses about weird Dan and his exploits. (from Music K-8, Vol. 5, No. 4)
