Ways Of The Seasons, The

The message of this haunting, thought-provoking song is poetic yet philosophical. Students may not be old enough to feel the depth of the sentiment "the only thing certain is change," but teachers and parents certainly will be.

Set in a Celtic rock style, the song is written in 4/4 but has a halftime feel to it. It has two vocal parts, though part 2, which is a little more challenging, is optional. The recording opens with a soloist. The use of a soloist is also optional, but it is a nice opportunity for a young singer. (from Music K-8, Vol. 14, No. 1)
