Chinese New Year

This song teaches children some of the traditions associated with Chinese New Year. Optionally, students can play temple blocks, gong, and shakers, or similar classroom percussion. Consider adding some movement with scarves or ribbons, or have students act out the actions in the verses. (from Music K-8, Vol. 8, No. 3)
