I'd Rather Be Your Friend

"I'd rather be your friend. Don't want to be your enemy," begins this moving ballad. The lessons in this song (and in the whole musical The Unity Tree, from which this song comes) are wonderful ones to instill in your students, and the music will help these lessons stay in their hearts forever. Such is the gift of music. It starts with two short solos (opt.) and builds to a full unison chorus supported by a superbly recorded orchestra.
