Good Wishes To You
by Teresa Jennings
While the Celtic flavor of this song might inspire you to use it for celebrating St. Patrick's Day, its universal message is perfect anytime. Perhaps the end of the school year, or while saying goodbye to visitors would be appropriate. Even at the end of a regular day, its pleasant words might be appreciated. Why not start a tradition in your class or school?
The song is very simple and elegant and most students should be able to learn it easily. If you wish to perform it live, a penny whistle would be a nice addition, though another C instrument, such as a recorder, could be substituted.
